Passionate About Inspiring Others

Taking a long walk off a short pier is not the answer. If you feel you are in crisis or are having a psychologically-related emergency, please consider contacting emergency services or speaking with a trusted friend, family member, or advisor immediately. There are different stages to crisis and recovery. At this time, The Fierce Advocate does not have emergency services in place to serve you if you are in crisis. Please contact a crisis hotline (911 or local hotline) if you need an immediate conversation and/or intervention.

If you are in recovery, fresh out of a crisis resulting in an inpatient or partial hospitalization program, and need help learning how to navigate this newfound world - one I like to describe as murky - lets discuss how the peer relationship will best support you. Together we'll explore how recovery is possible with an established peer relationship. Maybe take our chairs and sit at the end of the (Zoom) pier enjoying nature as we discuss your successes, hopes and dreams!

Why do I care?

I am a peer and have been there. I am in my 16th year of recovery with a diagnosed mental health condition and am passionate about helping individuals going through what can sometimes be a nightmare. I work hand-in-hand with you in considering multiple pathways to recovery. As we work together, we uncover the pathway to recovery unique to you. We'll incorporate tools and techniques along the way utilizing a supportive framework for self-discovery.

Some things you might consider before deciding to reach out:

  • Do you have a diagnosis and do you want to work with someone with the exact same diagnosis?

  • What is your stance on medication? Will it matter what the peer's stance is on medication?

  • What natural supports currently exist in your life?
